About this Project
Landon, a security contractor for the federal government, wanted to surprise his new fiancée Samantha with a brand new kitchen, but had absolutely no idea where to start. After learning from a friend, a former remodelmate customer, that a Concierge would take care of his entire renovation – from nuts to bolts – Landon was sold.
Project: Full Kitchen Renovation
Timeline: Six weeks
What You Should Know
This was Landon’s first-ever renovation, so he was excited about having a remodelmate Concierge by his side every step of the journey. His Concierge helped him pick out all of the materials; created an open concept design; and coordinated with his matched installer to ensure the seamless delivery of the renovation materials.
The first order of business was to demolish the existing footprint. Out came the old appliances and cabinets and down came a non-loadbearing wall. Drywall and paint were added to patch-up the newly-created opening and installation of the renovation began shortly thereafter.
Landon’s Concierge recommended flint gray as the main color scheme. This color, coupled with butcher block countertops and stainless steel appliances, created a stylish, semi-blank canvas that made it easy for him and Samantha to add their own unique accent colors at a later date.
As the project began to take shape, Landon’s Concierge recommended adding a refrigerated wine cabinet at the far end of the kitchen countertop. Samantha (and the Concierge!) loved wine, so this was a no-brainer for Landon.
The kitchen came in on time and on budget, and Landon didn’t have to lift a finger.
“We’ve been meaning to remodel our kitchen for so long, but we just couldn’t ever find the time or energy to manage the process. We chose remodelmate’s Concierge service to take full control over the design and build of our kitchen – and wow! We’ll be back again.” – Landon R.
